I am a big designer lover, and designer bags push my boundaries when it comes to my bank account. If I see a bag I love, I will get it and love it like another child. So let’s talk about my favorite designer bags currently in my collection.
1. Alessandro Michele x Gucci Mickey Mouse
The first designer bag I got my hands on was the Alessandro Michele x Gucci Mickey Mouse purse from the 2020 spring/summer collection. I’ve only used this item a handful of times but it remains in my collection in pristine condition as my mother and I are Disney and bag lovers.
This bag retailed for about $1400-$1600 and is no longer available through Gucci themselves but you can still get yours through various secondhand companies in great condition.

2. Maria Chiuri’s Christian Dior Book Tote
As time went on and my love for bags and fashion increased, the next must-have bag I had to have was the Christian Dior Book Tote. Maria Grazia Chiuri joined Dior in 2016 and gave us the book tote two years later in 2018. The inspiration for the ‘book tote’ was pulled from the Dior archives where she found inspiration from Marc Bohan in 1967. I use my tote so much that it makes me sad – you can see every piece of wear and tear from the years of love I have shown it from accidentally spills from my kiddo to smudges from makeup or spray tan that never quite made it off no matter how hard I try.
I now have a newfound love for purse scarfs that I never knew I needed.
This bag retails for about $2000-$4000, depending on your desired size, style, and personalization. Or you can find preloved ones on multiple platforms like TheRealReal, Fashionphile, Vestiaire Collective, and so many others if that is more your speed.
3. Louis Vuitton Delightful MM Bag
One of the staples in my collection that I use so much that I’m surprised it’s still in great shape, and will hopefully last me even more years to come is the Louis Vuitton Delightful MM bag that was introduced in 2015. It’s now discontinued, and you cannot get this style anymore unless you get a preloved one. However, they do have similar styles like the Graceful and CarryAll that are available, but I don’t think they quite compare to the Delightful. I fell in love with this bag because of the open tote structure it is much like the Dior book tote but with a shoulder strap and a side pocket. To me, it screams subtle luxury, despite the LV logo plastered on the outside of it, you can dress it up or dress it down for your look of the day.

This bag arrived in 2015 and retailed somewhere between $1200-$2000 and is no longer available through Louis Vuitton but you can still get yours through various secondhand companies in great condition – and if you have fallen in love with this bag too, I have some great news, this is one of the cheaper options to find on multiple platforms due to how many years have past since its initial release.
4. Louis Vuitton LockMe Bucket Bag
My mom got a matching wallet to complete her elegance and class for this look but I’m not going to include that in this, to get your hands on this LockMe bag it retails for $2840, and if you haven’t guessed what I’m about to say next, you can also find this on multiple preloved platforms.

5. Louis Vuitton TakeOff Backpack
I was really in need of a backpack when I found and snatched this one up without a second thought. I go through so many bags for school, work, and overnight trips that I can never keep them together. The funny thing about this specific piece is it was designed by LV for men. I mean those who appreciate elegance, style, and class, of course. Nevertheless, I couldn’t resist it when I saw it. It is so spacious that with everything I put in it, I still have space, and it doesn’t feel like it’s too much, too heavy, or that it’s going to rip, break, or get ruined if I use it frequently. The front pocket has a magnet closure that makes the elegance of this bag even more elevated because you don’t have any zippers or buttons showing. The LV logo is a matte black metal – yet another way Louis Vuitton was able to elevate a simple backpack design so easily.
The TakeOff Backpack retails for $3350 and is still available in stores and online.

I loved taking you all through this journey of my favorite bags in my collection, and I can’t wait to add to it more in the future.
